Sri City Posts Rs 20,250 Crore Investments, Capping a Landmark Growth Year
43 MoUs boost jobs, global confidence and industrial expansion in Andhra Pradesh hub

Nellore: With Rs 20,250 crore in fresh investment commitments secured through 43 memoranda of understanding, Sri City Integrated Business City recorded a landmark year in 2025, marked by strong investment momentum, rapid industrial expansion and growing global confidence.
Located in Tirupati district, close to the Tamil Nadu border, Sri City’s latest commitments are expected to generate nearly one lakh direct and indirect jobs, reinforcing its position as one of India’s most dynamic manufacturing and investment destinations.
According to Sri City managing director Dr Sannareddy Ravindra Reddy, a significant share of the investment momentum was generated at the CII Partnership Summit 2025, where Rs 11,750 crore was committed through 20 MoUs in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The remaining Rs 8,500 crore flowed in through sustained investor engagement over the year, reflecting continued confidence among both global majors and domestic enterprises.
The year opened on a high note with national recognition when Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his January visit to Visakhapatnam, acknowledged Sri City’s pivotal role in strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s position as a leading manufacturing hub.
The endorsement was reinforced in November when the Chief Minister described Sri City as the “best industrial hub in the country”, citing its integrated infrastructure, policy support and investor-friendly ecosystem. Further underlining the state’s proactive approach to industrial growth, Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated a major manufacturing project of LG Electronics at Sri City.
Industrial activity gathered pace during the year, with 15 new companies commencing operations and 15 existing units expanding capacity. Key sectors such as consumer appliances, automotive components, advanced materials, food processing, logistics and packaging registered notable growth.
Operational milestones — including Kobelco rolling out its 20,000th excavator and VRV Asia Pacific executing a high-value global export — highlighted Sri City’s growing manufacturing depth and global competitiveness.
Sri City’s rising international profile was reflected in visits by Japan’s Ambassador, consuls general of several countries, and delegations from Australia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the UK. Senior government leaders, SEZ pioneers, industry bodies and academic institutions also engaged actively with the industrial hub throughout the year.
Sustainability and inclusive development remained central to Sri City’s growth strategy. Biodiversity initiatives during the Flamingo Festival, support to the Forest Department at Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary, renewable energy adoption, afforestation drives, and Rs 3.25 crore invested in CSR programmes underscored its balanced approach to development.
As it enters 2026, Sri City carries forward the momentum of a landmark year — driven by investments, strengthened by partnerships and guided by a long-term vision of sustainable industrial leadership.
