NELLORE: Praising Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision for industrial development, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Chennai, Chang Nyun Kim, described Sri City as “living example” of the state’s strengths in location, talent, and connectivity.
On his third visit to the integrated business city, he said the world-class ecosystem being built at Sri City reflects the very advantages that make AP a preferred destination for global investors.
Kim expressed satisfaction over the growing Korean business presence, citing LG Electronics and other Korean companies as key contributors to the region’s industrial expansion.
“I’m very happy to see the expansion of Korean businesses here and I expect closer cooperation between Sri City and Korean industries in near future,” he remarked.
Accompanied by officials from the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and Korean industry leaders, the Consul General was welcomed by senior officials of Sri City.
He was shown around the project by R. Shivasankar, senior vice president (marketing), who showcased its strategic location, investor-friendly policies and robust social infrastructure.
Dr Ravindra Sannareddy, founder managing director, said the presence of 240 plus companies from 31 countries underscores Sri City’s global appeal.
He emphasised Korea’s significant role in this journey, pointing to LG, SoluM, Hyundai Engineering Plastics (HDC), SK Pucore, and LG Polymers as success stories. “This visit will certainly enhance investor confidence from Korea,” Dr. Sannareddy noted.
Kim also interacted with leaders of LG Electronics and SoluM, joined a luncheon with CEOs and CXOs of Korean firms and toured ongoing industrial projects.
