Spiritual Library Open At Srisailam Temple

ANANTAPUR: A newly established Spiritual Library was inaugurated at Mallikarjuna Sadan within the Lord Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy temple premises at Srisailam in Nandyal district on Saturday, marking a significant step towards promoting Hindu dharma and spiritual learning among devotees.

The library was inaugurated by chairman of the Board of Trustees Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu and executive officer M. Srinivasa Rao, along with board members and special invitees.

At present, the library houses over 2,400 spiritual books, including more than 1,000 titles received from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and over 1,400 additional spiritual publications. The collection includes Puranas, Itihasas, devotional literature and other sacred texts.

Speaking on the occasion, chairman Ramesh Naidu said the Spiritual Library was established as part of efforts to propagate Hindu dharma and provide devotees access to authentic spiritual literature. He also announced that the old Tirupati Satram building near Gangadhara Mandapam would be demolished, and a new Spiritual Library, museum and additional rooms would be constructed at the site.

Executive officer M. Srinivasa Rao said the library would help deepen devotional feelings and encourage spiritual reflection among devotees. He added that the facility would be expanded in phases and more books would be procured from various spiritual authors and institutions. Apart from spiritual texts, the library also offers access to daily newspapers and spiritual monthly magazines.

Temple authorities appealed to devotees and local residents to make full use of the library. On the occasion, a recently published coffee-table book on Srisailam Kshetram was presented to members of the Board of Trustees.

More income through online seva tickets: Srisailam temple chief

ANANTAPUR: Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy temple board chairman Ramesh Naidu and EO Srinivasa Rao said Srisailam temple income and offerings have increased over the past few days. A total of 14 arjitha sevas, including Sparsha Darshanam and Seegra Darshanam, are currently available online.

On Saturday alone, the temple recorded an income of ₹73.19 lakh through online seva ticket bookings, with a similar amount received through offline channels.
