Special Grievance Drive Receives 173 Petitions in Tiruvuru

The collector directed officials to process petitions without delay and ensure that eligible beneficiaries received government schemes and services. He said the programme also enabled authorities to understand issues at the grassroots level and identify long-term solutions.

Vijayawada: A total of 173 petitions were received during a Special Grievance Redressal Programme held at Dr B.R. Ambedkar Gurukulam in Vissannapeta under the Tiruvuru Assembly constituency on Friday.

NTR district collector Dr G. Lakshmisha, along with joint-collector S. Ilakkiya and Tiruvuru MLA K. Srinivasa Rao, received representations from members of the public.

Addressing officials, Dr Lakshmisha said the special grievance programme was intended to ensure speedy resolution of public issues while strengthening transparency and accountability in governance.

He said the government was conducting constituency-level grievance programmes to bring administration closer to the people and ensure prompt attention to every complaint. Stressing the need for a humane approach, he said each petition reflected the needs and aspirations of a family and that public satisfaction remained the true measure of government performance.

Of the 173 petitions received from Tiruvuru, A. Konduru, Reddygudem and Vissannapeta mandals, most related to rural poverty alleviation, revenue, social welfare residential institutions, Panchayat Raj, power supply and housing departments.

Senior district and mandal-level officials participated in the programme.
