Speaker Sends New Year Gifts to Mock Assembly Students
A total of 175 students were congratulated for their performance and understanding of legislative procedures
VIJAYAWADA: Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu has sent New Year greetings and gifts to students who excelled in the Mock Assembly programme held at the Assembly premises in November last year.
A total of 175 students were congratulated for their performance and understanding of legislative procedures. As a mark of encouragement, the Speaker sent New Year gifts to the students through their respective schools.
According to officials from the Speaker’s office, the gifts included New Year greeting cards, Assembly wall calendars and table calendars, aimed at familiarising students with democratic values and legislative functioning.
Students and teachers welcomed the gesture, saying it would motivate young learners to develop a deeper interest in governance and democracy. School authorities thanked the Speaker for recognising student talent and personally encouraging participation in civic education.
