Hyderabad: The South Coast Railway Zone, being set up in Visakhapatnam as its headquarters, is gearing up to start operations officially from June 1.
Railway officials are completing preparations to commence operations from June 1. Boundaries, employees, stations and other allied issues are being finalized. The map design for the new zone is also in its final stages.
The South Coast Railway Zone, formed by combining the entire railway area in the State, will span 3,532 kilometers.
