Somireddy Slams YSRC, Questions Police Silence On Threats
Speaking to the media at a press meet on Monday, Somireddy said former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his team were trying to turn the state into a lawless place.

Nellore: Telugu Desam senior leader and Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy criticised YSRC leaders for using abusive language and creating fear in the state.
Speaking to the media at a press meet on Monday, Somireddy said former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his team were trying to turn the state into a lawless place.
He pointed out that YSRC leaders Perni Nani and N. Prasanna Kumar Reddy are openly threatening ruling party leaders but the police are not taking any serious action. He said, “When someone says they will kill at night and visit in the morning for condolences, is that not a crime? Why haven’t the police booked them?”
Somireddy alleged that all the abusive words used by the YSRC leaders are being said under Jagan Mohan Reddy’s instructions. He said the leaders are calling Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and minister Nara Lokesh in disrespectful terms like “Orey” and “Turey”. “This is not the culture we want in politics,” he said.
He also reminded people that Chandrababu Naidu, despite being 76 years old, still walks miles and faces people bravely, unlike some leaders who gave up responsibilities early.
Somireddy warned that if YSRC would be completely rejected by the people if its party leaders do not stop this kind of behavior.
He demanded that the police take strict action against Perni Nani for using threatening and violent language. “No matter who it is, if they break the law, they must be punished,” he said.
