Somireddy Attends Consecration Ceremonies

Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said he was delighted to take part in the divine events held in Kantepalli and assured that he would extend his support to secure funds under the common good fund for the further development of the temples.

Nellore: As part of the Maha Kumbhabhishekam celebrations, a series of religious programmes were held at Sri Kamakshi Devi Sametha Sri Ekambareswara Swamy Temple in Kantepalli village of Venkatachelam mandal on Wednesday. The Nuthana Dhwajasthambha (new temple flagpole), Nandi idol, and Navagraha idols were consecrated.

Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and AP TIDCO chairman Vemulapati Ajay Kumar participated in the grand event and offered special prayers to the deities. As part of the day’s programmes, MLA Somireddy also participated in several other temple rituals in nearby colonies, including the installation of the idol of Goddess Mahalakshmi at the Sri Mahalakshmi temple in Padamati Girijana colony, a special puja at the Sri Mahalakshmi temple in Turpu Girijana colony, and the foundation ceremony (Shankusthapana) for the Sri Chennakesava Swamy temple in the SC colony.

Speaking on the occasion, Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said he was delighted to take part in the divine events held in Kantepalli and assured that he would extend his support to secure funds under the common good fund for the further development of the temples. The MLA also appreciated Jana Sena leader Bonuboyina Prasad and the villagers for conducting such meaningful religious and community programmes, describing them as commendable initiatives that promote faith and unity in society.
