Ex-serviceman Dies by Suicide at Duvvada Railway Station

Officials are currently investigating the reasons that led the ex-soldier to take such an extreme step.

Visakhapatnam: A 65-year-old ex-serviceman died by suicide at Duvvada railway station in Visakhapatnam on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Neelapu Venkata Reddy, also known as Sainikudu (65), a resident of Pedagantyada in Visakhapatnam district.

According to the government railway police, Venkata Reddy is suspected of having taken the extreme step due to mounting debts.

The body was shifted to the government hospital for post-mortem examination. Police have registered a case and an investigation is underway.
