Six of Family Killed in Car-lorry Collision
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his deep sorrow and asked local officials to ensure full support to the affected families.

Tirupati: Six members of a family died and two children were injured as the car they were travelling in collided with a lorry near Tadicharlamotu village in Komarolu mandal of Prakasam district on Friday. The victims were returning home after a pilgrimage to the Mahanandi temple in Nandyal district.
According to reports, the accident took place in the early hours of the day. The family was en route to their native village, Stuvartpuram in Bapatla district. The car, carrying eight people, and the lorry collided head-on. The impact of the collision was severe, leaving six occupants dead on the spot and two children seriously injured.
The deceased were Gajjala Anakalu, 50, Gajjala Narasimha, 20, Batcha Sandeep, 30, Gajjala Bhavani, 20, Gajjala Babulu, 29 and Karredula Divakar, 30. The injured five-year-old girl and three-year-old boy were rushed to the GGH in Giddalur. Their condition was reported stable.
Rescue efforts were hampered by the mangled condition of the car. The police and locals took hours to extricate the bodies from the wreckage. A case has been registered.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his deep sorrow and asked local officials to ensure full support to the affected families. Transport minister Ramprasad Reddy asked transport officials to probe the mishap and improve road safety in the area.
Former chief minister and YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his shock. He said it was deeply distressing that a family returning from a pilgrimage met with such a misfortune. He urged the state government to extend necessary support to the bereaved and ensure quality medical care for the injured.
Social welfare minister Veeranjaneya Swamy and energy minister Ravi Kumar also conveyed their condolences and asked officials to ensure the injured children received the best treatment.
