SIR of Electoral Rolls in Nellore District Begins From Today
Collector Shukla has urged voters to cooperate with BLOs during the survey towards ensuring that additions, deletions, and corrections in voter records are completed accurately

Nellore: Special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls will be organised across SPSR Nellore district from Monday, June 15, to July 14.
During this period, booth-level officers (BLOs) will be carrying out door-to-door surveys to verify and update voter details, collector and district election officer Himanshu Shukla announced on Sunday.
The district currently has 19,74,240 voters, including 9,62,575 men, 10,11,452 women and 213 others. 2,352 BLOs are being deployed for the SIR exercise.
According to the schedule released by the Election Commission of India, the draft electoral roll will be published on July 21. Claims and objections can be submitted between July 21 and August 20. Disposal of these claims and objections will continue until September 18. The final electoral roll will be published on September 22.
