SIR Enumeration In AP Crosses 54.9% In Andhra Pradesh

Chief Electoral Officer Vivek Yadav said the revision exercise is progressing as scheduled with BLOs continuing the door-to-door verification to ensure that electoral rolls are accurate, inclusive, and up to date.

VIJAYAWADA: Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Andhra Pradesh has gathered significant momentum, with nearly 55 per cent of elector-specific enumeration forms already digitised during the ongoing enumeration phase, according to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) on Sunday.

The enumeration phase, which commenced on June 15, will continue until July 14. It is part of the Election Commission of India's exercise to update and verify electoral rolls across India. Officials said all 4.16 crore elector-specific enumeration forms have been printed, while distribution has reached 99.32 per cent, reflecting swift progress in the statewide electoral roll revision process.
While the registered electors are 4,16,27,694 as on May 25, 2026, 4,13,46,505 enumeration forms have already been distributed through 46,397 booth-level officers (BLOs). 2,28,76,647 of these forms have already been digitised, accounting for 54.96 per cent of the total.
Among the districts, Krishna recorded the highest digitisation rate at 69.26 per cent, followed by Eluru (68.41 per cent), Chittoor (63.71 per cent) and Srikakulam (63.65 per cent). Districts, such as East Godavari, Palnadu, Markapuram, Konaseema, and West Godavari, reported digitisation levels exceeding 56 per cent.
Printing of enumeration forms has been completed in all 28 districts. Several districts, including Parvathipuram Manyam, Kakinada, Krishna, and Bapatla, have achieved almost 100 per cent distribution.
