A single copper plate inscription of Vijayanagara king Harihara has been found near Kadapa in AP.
Vijayawada: A single copper plate inscription of Vijayanagara king Harihara has been found near Kadapa in AP.
According to Archaeological Survey of India authorities, the inscription is written in Telugu, and characters are dated to 1361 common era. It records the appointment of Pakanati Timmayya as a village administrator for the village Yedulapadlli situated in Chiranadistala of Gutti-Rajya and also the gifting of several lands in the village by the king. It also mentions the boundaries of gifted lands.
The inscription was found in the possession of Sarada Prasanna, and Dr Chintalkunta Sivareddy from Kadapa helped the ASI to find it.
