Single Agenda, One Leader for TD: Lokesh
Lokesh called for close coordination with in-charge ministers, MLAs and zonal coordinators, and directed TD leaders to conduct regular people’s durbars and meetings with workers in their constituencies.

Vijayawada: Emphasizing the need for unity, discipline and speed, Telugu Desam general secretary Nara Lokesh on Thursday called upon party functionaries to work with a single agenda to ensure victory in the coming elections.
Addressing a meeting of newly appointed parliamentary party presidents, general secretaries and zonal coordinators at his Undavalli residence, Lokesh asserted that the party’s national president Chandrababu Naidu was the sole leader of the party, while all others, including himself, were disciplined soldiers.
He congratulated the new office-bearers and asked them to implement party programmes without a sense of devotion to the cause. Party must always come first.
Lokesh called for close coordination with in-charge ministers, MLAs and zonal coordinators, and directed TD leaders to conduct regular people’s durbars and meetings with workers in their constituencies. He underlined the need to complete committees from district to booth level and to hold calendar-based review meetings with MLAs, in-charges and mandal presidents.
He announced quarterly performance reviews of parliamentary party leaders and general secretaries, including the state committee, and urged leaders to correct mistakes and move forward.
“I would devote maximum time for the party, increase its organisational pace, coordinate with alliance partners through monthly meetings, focus on social media and prepare for the next year’s membership drive,” he said.
Stressing that a TD worker is the real leader, Lokesh praised the chief minister for personally engaging with cadres even at age 75 and urged unity once the party took a decision.
The meeting was attended by TD state president Palla Srinivasa Rao and several zonal coordinators.
