Siddhartha Medical College in Vijayawada has recorded a 93.68 per cent pass rate in the Phase-I MBBS examinations, securing the top position among government and private medical colleges affiliated with Dr NTR University of Health Sciences.
The university announced the results on its website, and its controller of examinations informed the college about its performance over the phone.
College principal Dr A. Yedukondala Rao said the result reflected the collective efforts of the teaching and non-teaching staff in providing quality medical education. He credited the teaching staff for their dedication and sustained guidance to students, and acknowledged the support of non-teaching personnel.
Dr Rao congratulated the heads of departments and faculty members of Anatomy, Biochemistry and Physiology, along with their supporting staff, for their contribution to the results.
He expressed confidence that the college would continue to maintain its academic standards and achieve further success. He also conveyed his best wishes to the faculty, non-teaching staff and students.
