Shah to inaugurate key projects in Krishna district

Vijayawada:Union home minister Amit Shah, will participate as the chief guest in the 20th Foundation Day celebrations of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) on Sunday near Gannavaram in Krishna district. On this occasion, he will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth around `220 crores.

Ministers Nara Lokesh, Vangalapudi Anitha, Atchannaidu, and others welcomed Amit Shah with garlands on his arrival at Gannavaram Airport on Saturday night.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan gave a warm welcome to Amit Shah, who directly reached the CM's residence in Undavalli from Gannavaram airport.

It is learned that Naidu and Pawan discussed various issues related to the state with the Union Home Minister. On this occasion, CM Naidu arranged a special dinner for Amit Shah. The meeting of the three leaders lasted for about an hour. BJP state president Purandeswari, along with many alliance leaders, participated in this programme. Amit Shah will stay at a private hotel in Vijayawada for the night.

The Union Home Minister will inaugurate the campuses of three important centres on Sunday, including the Southern Campus of the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), the 10th Battalion of the NDRF, and the Regional Response Centre (RRC) in Supaul (9th Battalion). While the NDRF plays a leading role in disaster response, NIDM is making significant contributions in human resource development, capacity building, training, research, documentation, and policy formulation
