Security Breach at Tirupati Govindaraja Swamy Temple
Drunk man enters temple after jumping wall, climbs gopuram; held after three-hour operation

Tirupati: A serious security lapse was reported at the Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple in Tirupati on Friday night. After the completion of the Ekanta Seva, a man allegedly entered the temple premises in an inebriated condition by jumping over the compound wall before vigilance staff could notice him.
The intruder went inside the Mahadwaram area and climbed the temple gopuram, where he attempted to pull the kalashams, triggering panic among temple authorities and devotees. The accused was later identified as Tirupati, a resident of Pedda Malla Reddy Colony in Kurmavada of Nizamabad district.
Police and fire department personnel worked for nearly three hours to safely bring him down from the gopuram. Using ladders, the teams managed to restrain and take him into custody.
