SBT Seeks Global Recognition for the First Telugu Inscription at Kalamalla
The SBT MD praised the C.P. Brown centre as a shining beacon of Telugu language and literature.

Anantapur: Swarna Bharati Trust (SBT) managing trustee Deepa Venkat said efforts are being made to globally highlight the first Telugu stone inscription at Kalamalla in Kadapa district.
She was speaking on the occasion of the centenary year of Dr. Janamaddi Hanumatchastri, popular as “Brown Sastri,” at a function organised on Sunday by the C.P. Brown Language Research Centre and Central Library, Kadapa, under the auspices of Janamaddi Sahiti Peetham with the support of SBT, the brainchild of the former Indian vice president M. Venkaiah Naidu.
Deepa Venkat, daughter of Venkaiah Naidu, unveiled a replica of the Telugu stone inscription on the occasion at the C.P. Brown Language Research Centre, affiliated to the Yogi Vemana University. She underlined that it is everyone’s responsibility to preserve our linguistic and literary heritage for future generations.

Those present on the occasion included Janamaddi Vijayabhaskar, member, Brown Library Advisory Council; P. Trivikram Rao, president, Official Language Association; Prof. B. Rajasekhar, vice chancellor, Yogi Vemana University; Bommisetti Ramesh, noted writer and artist;, and Muttaraju Dhanunjayudu Varma, P.V.L.N. Raju and Dr. G. Parvath.
