Sana Satish Babu Says Jagan Remarks Hurt AP Development Climate

Satish Babu said people wanted development and no force could stop the state’s progress

VIJAYAWADA: Rajya Sabha member Sana Satish Babu on Friday criticised recent remarks by former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, alleging that they could harm Andhra Pradesh’s development and industrial climate.

Speaking at the Telugu Desam Party office in Mangalagiri, Satish Babu said people wanted development and no force could stop the state’s progress. He asserted that Andhra Pradesh was moving steadily on a growth path.

He alleged that the YSRC was protecting those responsible for atrocities against Dalits and accused the party of fuelling caste tensions, encouraging “murder politics” and obstructing the state’s progress.

Satish Babu claimed that people had already rejected such politics in the recent elections by reducing the party to 11 seats. He said the verdict reflected public disapproval of divisive politics.

The Rajya Sabha member also alleged that certain publications linked to the party were trying to create tensions between communities such as Kapus and Kammas. He said the Godavari districts had long been known for social harmony and people there would not tolerate caste discord.

He further accused the opposition of trying to obstruct major development projects, including the Polavaram Project, Amaravati construction and establishment of new industries.

Satish Babu warned that if such trends continued, voters would deliver an even stronger verdict in future elections.
