Vijayawada: YSR Congress general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has advised the party’s counting agents to be on high alert against likely attempts by the rival TD-alliance to disrupt the votes counting process on June 4.
“Ensure that every vote cast for the party is counted,” he said a day after exit polls predicted huge reverses for the ruling party in AP.
Addressing the party’s counting agents at an online training programme from the party headquarters, here on Sunday, he exhorted the counting agents to maintain their composure and ensure that the counting is done as per norms of the Election Commission.
With regard to any doubt on the signature of the attesting officer on the postal ballot, they must approach the election authorities. Do not get provoked so that you would not be distracted from the process of counting, he said.
He sounded confident the YSR Congress would retain power in AP.
