Saikrishna Custodial Case: CI Nagaraju’s Friend Detained By SIT Officials
Special teams have been deployed to Hyderabad and Bengaluru to trace the other two police personnel , Head Constables Ashok and Jangam Nani who went absconding after Nagaraju’s arrest.

Vijayawada: The SIT investigation into the Saikrishna lockup death case has gathered pace with the SIT officials detaining Suresh, a friend of suspended CI SSVV Nagaraju, who was allegedly absconding. SIT officials reportedly traced him in Bengaluru. The SIT has identified the CI's friend, Suresh, and Head Constables Ashok and Jangam Nani, who are allegedly involved in the conspiracy to destroy evidence.
Suresh is believed to be key in the alleged disposal of Saikrishna’s body after the alleged torture and death while he was in lockup. Officials are questioning him about the events that followed the alleged custodial death and probing Suresh’s interference in police duties and his ties with Nagaraju. They are also examining his role as a mediator with Saikrishna’s family after the incident.
Special teams have been deployed to Hyderabad and Bengaluru to trace the other two police personnel , head constables Ashok and Jangam Nani, who went absconding after Nagaraju’s arrest. Notices have already been served at their residences directing them to appear for questioning.
The SIT is also looking into the probable involvement of others in the case. Officials held separate discussions with DCP Krishnakanth Patel, Task Force ADCP Latha Kumari, and ACP Manasa. The SIT is simultaneously examining Saikrishna’s criminal background as part of the probe.
