Sai Institutions Stage Grand Sports & Cultural Meet

The performances marked the culmination of sports, cultural and fine arts competitions held across all campuses during the 2025–26 academic year.

Anantapur: The Sri Sathya Sai Educational Institutions on Sunday held the main event of their Annual Sports & Cultural Meet at the Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium, Prasanthi Nilayam.

The event was a tribute by more than 3,500 students, from primary school to PhD level, to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba during his Birth Centenary Year. Participants came from the four campuses of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL), the Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School (boys’ and girls’ wings), Smt Eswaramma High School, and the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences.

The performances marked the culmination of sports, cultural and fine arts competitions held across all campuses during the 2025–26 academic year. Trust authorities said the event aims to instil unity, discipline, teamwork and moral values among students.

The programme began at 8 am with a ceremonial procession, led by the women’s brass band of SSSIHL and an equestrian escort. A flag salute and march past followed.

Six colourful presentations — The Flexifits, The Numinous Nrutta, The Frisky Flips, The Dancing Damsels, The Festive Flags and The Racing Riders — showcased yoga, classical dance, aerial displays and folk performances. Highlights included Aerovyuh, featuring gymnastics on a German wheel, Kalaripayattu martial art displays, and a final ensemble of synchronised motorcycle stunts by SSSIHL Anantapur campus students.
