VIJAYAWADA: In a move to expand digital governance, the Andhra Pradesh government has integrated SADAREM (Software for Assessment of Disabled for Access Rehabilitation and Empowerment) services with the Mana Mitra WhatsApp Governance platform, enabling persons with disabilities to access key services through their mobile phones.
The initiative, introduced under the directions of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, allows beneficiaries to check slot availability, book disability assessment appointments and download SADAREM certificates through WhatsApp, according to a statement issued by the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS).
With the launch of the service, beneficiaries no longer need to visit MeeSeva centres or Swarna Grama and Swarna Ward Secretariats to book appointments or obtain certificates. Instead, they can access the services by sending a “Hi” message to 9552300009 on WhatsApp.
Users can access the facility by selecting ‘Citizen Services’ on the Mana Mitra platform, followed by ‘SADAREM Services’, and then choosing from the available options — Slot Availability, Slot Booking or Certificate Download. The remaining process can be completed by following the on-screen instructions.
According to officials, the platform enables beneficiaries to view appointment slots in real time, schedule assessments at their convenience and download certificates instantly, reducing travel, waiting time and paperwork.
The government appealed to eligible persons with disabilities across the state to make use of the facility, stating that the initiative reflects Andhra Pradesh's commitment to delivering government services through digital platforms while making disability-related services more accessible and convenient.
