A heavy influx of devotees has been witnessed as summer holidays come to an end, resulting in overcrowding across the hill shrine at Tirumala. The Vaikuntham Queue Complexes and Narayanagiri sheds are packed with pilgrims.
Officials said devotees opting for Sarvadarshan without tokens are facing waiting times of up to 24 hours. Entry into the queue is currently being regulated from the Batagangamma temple point.
Authorities have arranged essential services such as food, drinking water, and milk for devotees waiting in the queue lines through Srivari Sevaks. Meanwhile, long queues have also formed at the Central Reception Office (CRO) for accommodation and at Kalyanakatta centres, reflecting the scale of the rush.
