RTIH Launches INNO-XR Lab to Boost Creative-Tech Innovation in AP

Immersive tech boost for AP as RTIH opens INNO-XR Lab for students and start-ups

Vijayawada: The Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) on Thursday inaugurated the INNO-XR Lab in Andhra Pradesh to promote creativity, immersive technology development and innovation among young creators and start-ups.

Addressing students and early-stage entrepreneurs, RTIH CEO Dhatri Reddy said the AVGC–XR sector is one of the world’s fastest-growing creative-tech industries and holds vast potential for Andhra Pradesh’s youth. With rapid expansion in digital entertainment, gaming, animation and immersive technologies, she said, the state must equip students with industry-ready skills.
RTIH and APVAGA have partnered to strengthen the AVGC–XR ecosystem by offering hands-on learning, industry exposure and structured pathways for start-ups. As part of the initiative, a three-day exploratory bootcamp will be held from December 12 to 13, covering animation, gaming, VFX, storytelling, 3D design, AR/VR and emerging digital tools.
Arena Animation director Srinivas Sribhakta said animation is a rapidly evolving, creativity-driven field, adding that AI will act as an enabler for creators by accelerating workflows. India’s animation and gaming industry, valued at USD 3 billion, is expected to grow nearly tenfold in the next five years, he noted.
