Rs.17,912 Cr Bhogapuram projects to be launched by PM
The minister said that the Alluri Sitarama Raju Airport at Bhogapuram will serve as the “gateway of global Andhra,” transforming the region from a land of migration into a hub for corporate investment

Visakhapatnam: Information Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for new projects and inaugurate development works worth Rs.17,912 crore on August 1, marking a historic moment for North Andhra.
Speaking at a press conference, the minister said that the Alluri Sitarama Raju Airport at Bhogapuram will serve as the “gateway of global Andhra,” transforming the region from a land of migration into a hub for corporate investment.
He noted that the airport, designed in the shape of a flying fish to reflect local culture, will adhere to advanced greenfield environmental standards and boost exports, tourism, and logistics.
Parthasarathy said the project will generate direct and indirect employment opportunities, with additional initiatives such as an aviation hub, skill development centre, Edu City, and aircraft equipment manufacturing and repair facilities planned across 500 acres.
He said youth will be trained to meet future challenges in the region.
