A political row has erupted in Andhra Pradesh over a Pushkar ghat in East Godavari district being named after Nara Devaansh, with Nara Lokesh objecting to the move and calling it “ridiculous.”
The ghat, located at Muni Koodali in Rajanagaram constituency, already bears the name “Devaansh Ghat,” according to local MLA Battula Balaramakrishna. He stated that Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has directed officials to develop it into a model ghat with an allocation of ₹1 crore.
Reacting to the development, Lokesh clarified that he has issued clear instructions that no ghats should be named after his son and thanked those who brought the matter to his notice, distancing himself from the naming.
