Roja Visits Pinnelli in Jail, Calls NDA Coalition Government Anarchic

The former minister asserted that the YSRC would stand firmly with Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy and his family.

Nellore: Launching a scathing attack on the ruling NDA coalition government, former minister and YSRC leader R.K. Roja on Tuesday declared there is anarchy in governance with police being used as political machinery.

Roja spoke to media after visiting former MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy, who is in the Nellore Central Jail in judicial custody along with his brother.

The former minister accused the state government of foisting false cases against its political opponents. She said the government has replaced the Constitution with what she termed a “Red Bull Constitution.” She charged that police department has abandoned neutrality and is functioning as a wing of ruling parties in the NDA coalition government.

Roja maintained that during the YSRC regime, no false cases had been filed or opponents harassed. “Everything will be restored once the YSRC government returns to power,” she maintained.

The former minister said fabricated cases against dissenters had become a routine practice in the present government.

She sought to point out gross financial mismanagement within the state government, due to which state debt had crossed ₹3 lakh crore, while development and welfare have come to a standstill. She maintained that Rayalaseema had been betrayed with stalling of lift irrigation projects in the region meant to address the recurrent drought conditions.

Questioning the Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, Roja asked why he is remaining silent when injustice is being done to Rayalaseema. “Will you continue to support Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu despite this,” she questioned.

The former minister asserted that the YSRC would stand firmly with Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy and his family.
