Andhra Pradesh: 4 Dead as Trucker Hits Car to Avoid Vehicle Checking

Kakinada: Four persons were killed and one person was critically injured after an oncoming lorry hit the car they were travelling in Rajamahendravaram Rural mandal on Monday. The deceased were identified as Uppulri Prasad, 60, of Kovvur, his wife Uppluri Siva Leelavathi, 56, Immani Veera Venkata Satyavathi, 75, of Marikondapadu
of Chagallu mandal and Lakkamsani Bindu, 34, of Daravaram and a resident of Kovvuru and the injured was as 36-year-old Lakkamsani Suresh, the husband of Bindu. The mishap occurred on Gammon Bridge near Konthamuru village under Rajanagaram police station limits.

Kakinada from Kovvuru when their vehicle was rammed by the negligently driven lorry. The driver of the lorry veered off to the right on the highway in order to avoid the vehicle check by the RTO and dashed the car coming in the opposite direction. The four persons died on the spot while the severely injured Suresh was admitted to a hospital where his condition was said to be critical. Rajanagaram police were investigating.
