Revenue Department Bags 2 Skoch Awards
ORCMS initiative has digitised revenue court proceedings, ensuring greater speed, transparency and accountability.

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh revenue department has earned national recognition by securing two Skoch Awards for the year 2025. Revenue minister Anagani Satya Prasad stated here on Thursday that the department was chosen for its innovative initiatives like the online revenue court management system and resurvey 2.0, both of which have been hailed as transformative initiatives in governance.
The award presentation ceremony would be held in New Delhi on September 20 as part of the annual Skoch summit.
Satya Prasad cited the reforms carried out under Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership for revitalising the department.
In the past 14 months, the department introduced a series of revolutionary steps to change its poor image, he stated.
He said, “The ORCMS initiative has digitised revenue court proceedings, ensuring greater speed, transparency and accountability. The system has significantly reduced case pendency in revenue courts, enabled citizens to access services with ease, and improved officials’ adherence to timelines. Analytical data from the system also aids in better policy monitoring at the state level.”
Satya Prasad also outlined the success of Re-survey 2.0, which was launched to rectify the errors of the earlier survey.
He said, “Under the new initiative, a pilot project is being implemented in one village from each mandal to ensure zero errors. Every village is divided into blocks of 200–250 acres, with each block being managed by two surveyors, a VRO, and a VRA. Farmers in every block are included in dedicated WhatsApp groups to ensure real-time updates and transparency. The government has also mandated advance notices to all stakeholders before the survey work begins, with progress capped at 20 acres per day for thorough accuracy.”
The project is expected to be completed by December next year. The minister praised Revenue Special CS and CCLA, G Jayalakshmi, and Survey Department Director Prabhakar Reddy for their roles in implementing these projects.
