Vijayawada: Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) G. Jayalakshmi has emphasised that the resurvey process must strictly adhere to legal principles and natural justice. She directed officials to rectify past mistakes and ensure the smooth execution of the resurvey operations.
Speaking at the state-level training and review programme for resurvey deputy tahsildars at Nagarjuna University Auditorium, Guntur, Jayalakshmi stated that resurvey officials have been granted extensive powers to resolve issues. She stressed the need to correct errors in revenue records and establish a well-structured system for future generations. She also noted that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is keenly focused on the resurvey project, which must align with real conditions to ensure rightful beneficiaries receive their due recognition.
Survey Settlement and Land Records Commissioner Dr Prabhakar Reddy underscored the importance of accountability and adherence to existing laws. He pointed out that 2.8 lakh complaints had been received in Revenue Sadassulu and urged officials to prevent similar issues in the future. He assured that any field-level challenges would be addressed, with legal amendments considered if necessary.
Additional Commissioner Govind Rao highlighted the role of advanced technology in modern resurvey efforts, urging officials to gain a clear understanding of legal provisions.
Around 600 resurvey deputy tahsildars from across the state attended the programme, along with Guntur District Joint Collector Bhargava Teja and other officials.
