Reforms Led to Growth of Construction Sector: Minister Kondapalli

Visakhapatnam: MSME minister Kondapalli Srinivas, has said the state government has introduced several reforms that led to vertical growth in the construction sector and generated a lot of employment opportunities.
The minister was chief guest at the three-day 11th edition of the confederation of real estate developers association of India (CREDAI)’s property expo, which began in Visakhapatnam on Friday.
He suggested that delivering quality projects built trust among prospective buyers, which in turn strengthened confidence in the builder community.
Local MLAs Palla Srinivasa Rao, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu and Vishnu Kumar Raju spoke on how the chief minister focused on development of north Andhra with Visakhapatnam as its central point.
Chairman of CREDAI’s Visakhapatnam chapter, V Dharmender, said the property expo served as a one-stop destination for property buyers in rapidly developing areas such as Visakhapatnam. “Bringing developers, bankers and other stakeholders under one roof makes it easier for buyers to evaluate options and take informed decisions,” he said.
President of CREDAI Visakhapatnam chapter, E Ashok Kumar, said recent government reforms, including faster approvals and greater transparency, have positively impacted the state’s real estate sector and were helping it gain traction.

The event also featured the presentation of the K Subba Raju Memorial Award to the top three diploma civil engineering students of the Government Polytechnic College, Visakhapatnam, and to the top two meritorious students from the draftsman civil trade at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI).
