Reconstructed Ankalamma Temple Opens in Peddireddypalli Amid Grand Rituals
As part of the ceremony, the idol installation (vigraha pratishtha) was conducted amid Vedic rituals and local celebrations.
Endowments minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy greet people during a procession at Peddireddypalli village, where they inaugurated a reconstructed temple on Saturday.
Nellore: The newly reconstructed Sri Ankalamma Temple in Peddireddypalli village of Varikuntapadu mandal was inaugurated with great devotion and festive fervour on Saturday. As part of the ceremony, the idol installation (vigraha pratishtha) was conducted amid Vedic rituals and local celebrations.
Minister for endowments Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, MLCs Beeda Ravichandra and Kancherla Sreekanth, and Udayagiri MLA Kakarla Suresh were among the dignitaries who participated in the event. Local leaders and Vedic scholars extended a ceremonial welcome to the guests.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Anam said it was both a blessing and a privilege to be part of the temple’s reconstruction and idol consecration in Peddireddypalli, which lies on the border of Nellore and Prakasam districts. He commended the villagers and donors for coming forward to rebuild the temple with sincere devotion.
He assured the full support of the Endowments Department for further development of the temple, as proposed by MLA Kakarla Suresh. The minister also offered prayers for the welfare of the people under the NDA government, invoking the divine blessings of Goddess Ankalamma for peace, prosperity, and good health.
