Ravichandra Rejects Call Data Claims, Seeks Probe Into Boat Theft

Ravichandra alleged that the YSRC was attempting to create confusion among fishing communities following the foundation for the Sagar Defence Academy. He added that the Telugu Desam had exercised restraint out of respect for local traditions.

Nellore: Telugu Desam MLC and district president Beeda Ravichandra on Wednesday rejected allegations linking party leaders to the boat theft issue at Juvvaladinne harbour and called for a thorough investigation.

Addressing a press conference in Nellore, Ravichandra dismissed claims made by former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy that “call data” linked Telugu Desam leaders to the alleged theft. He said the calls referred to were routine festival greetings and contained no incriminating information.

He accused Jagan Mohan Reddy of making baseless and irresponsible allegations against Telugu Desam leaders, including Nara Lokesh and members of the Beeda family, without evidence.

Ravichandra alleged that the YSRC was attempting to create confusion among fishing communities following the foundation for the Sagar Defence Academy. He added that the Telugu Desam had exercised restraint out of respect for local traditions.

He also questioned the progress of harbour works during the previous regime and challenged YSRC leaders to face vigilance inquiries over alleged irregularities. He credited Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and former Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu for the Juvvaladinne fishing harbour project.

Several Telugu Desam leaders, including APMB chairman Damacharla Satyanarayana and Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy, were present.
