Ramayapatnam Port-Based Industries to Provide Jobs to Local Youth: Collector
Sub-collector Himavamsi noted that globally, regions with ports like Mumbai and Chennai have flourished due to industry growth. Indosol’s HR representatives announced that jobseekers can apply directly at the company office or via email, with training programmes starting September 1.

Nellore: District collector O. Anand said the arrival of port-based industries around Ramayapatnam would transform the region and assured that the government would stand by the families of farmers who gave up their lands for these projects. He stressed that priority would be given to providing jobs for local youth.
Speaking as the chief guest at a programme organised by Indosol Solar Industry in Chevuru village, Gudluru mandal, the collector distributed appointment letters to youths from Chevuru, Ravuru, Karedu and Elurupadu villages. He said that so far 68 locals have been employed by Indosol and more opportunities would follow as industries expand.
Collector Anand said Ramayapatnam port would attract major investments, paving the way for all-round development of the area. MLA Inturi Nageswara Rao thanked Indosol for investing thousands of crores in the region and hailed the sacrifice of farmers. He added that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is determined to develop Ramayapatnam port on par with Kakinada and Visakhapatnam as part of “Golden Andhra by 2047”.

Later, the collector and MLA unveiled the corporate profile of the company. Indosol COO K. Balachandar Krishnan, skill development officer Abdul Khayoom, local officials, farmers and youth participated in the event.
