VISAKHAPATNAM: Sri Kanaka Maha Lakshmi Ammavari Devalayam is making preparations to celebrate Sri Ramanavami in a grand manner at the Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Temple located at Jagadamba Junction in Visakhapatnam.
Deputy commissioner and temple executive officer (EO) K. Shobharani told media that the central part of the festivities will be the Seetha Rama Kalyanam at 10 a.m. Arrangements are being made to accommodate approximately 5,000 devotees for the kalyanam.
According to the temple AEO Tirumaleswara Rao announced that the fee for participating in the wedding ceremony is Rs 1,116, while the abhishekam can be done for Rs 516.
Executive engineer Ramana said they are building half-a-kilometre-long pavilions with carpets to accommodate devotees under the summer sun. There will be cold pavilions, a steady supply of fresh water, and distribution of buttermilk to ensure the comfort of visitors during the celebrations.

After the wedding ceremony starting at 10 a.m., Vadapappu and Panakam will be distributed at 11 a.m. Annaprasadam will be served at noon. The coronation ceremony of Sri Ramachandra Swamy will be on Monday, marking the culmination of the festivities.
Cultural programmes are being planned during the evenings to enrich the experience of devotees. Temple authorities have asked devotees and donors to contribute pearls for the wedding ceremony. They can consult temple priests for the purpose.
Temple EO Shobharani has extended an open invitation to people of Visakhapatnam and surrounding districts to participate in the celebrations, receive the blessings of Lord Sri Rama and enjoy the offerings.
