Anantapur: Pune-based Rajpath Infra Private Limited on Monday launched an attempt to achieve four Guinness World Records during construction of a greenfield highway project in Satya Sai district.
The record attempts were formally inaugurated with the commencement of works on Package-2, between Vanavolu and Vanakarakunta. The event was attended by former minister Palle Raghu Nath Reddy, MLA Palle Sindhoora Reddy, R.K. Singh, Regional Officer, NHAI, and Jagdish Kadam, CMD of Rajpath Infracon Private Limited.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagdish Kadam said the company had earlier entered the India Book of World Records by laying 39.691 km of bituminous concrete road in 24 hours. He added that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has been encouraging the initiative and will be present on January 12 to dedicate the awards to the nation.
