ANANTAPUR: A rabid dog attacked at least 45 people in Badvel, Kadapa district, on Monday. The dog started biting people during its way wandering many parts of Badvel town since Monday morning. Locals alerted the municipal staff about a series of attacks by the dog and they rushed to the spot and killed it.
By then, at least 45 people of various ages had been bitten by the rabid dog. The victims were immediately transported to Badvel government hospital for treatment. Few of them were shifted to RIMS Hospital at Kadapa due to a shortage of rabies vaccine.
