Quarrel at a Public Tap Claims Person’s Life in Anantapur

Anantapur:A man hacked to death his neighbour following a quarrel over collecting drinking water from a public tap in Old Guntakal in Anantapur district on Friday.

Guntakal One Town sub-inspector M.C. Kondayya said people had been collecting water from a public tap near the Guntakal Ankalamma Temple in Old Guntakal town.

While collecting water, a quarrel ensued between K. Chandrasekhar and Shivakumar.

Shivakumar then fetched a hunting sickle from his house and attacked Chandrasekhar, killing the latter on the spot.

Police have shifted Chandrasekhar’s body to the government hospital for post-mortem and registered a case.
