IIIT-Ongole Student Found Dead in Idupulapaya
Tragedy Strikes IIIT Ongole Campus as PUC Student Ends Life
Kurnool: A student was found dead at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Idupulapaya, in YSR Kadapa district on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Narasimha Naidu, a native of Fareedpet in Etcherla mandal of Srikakulam district and a second-year pre-university course student of IIIT-Ongole.
According to officials, Narasimha had come to RGUKT-RK Valley to attend a programme. Later, he was found hanging from the ceiling fan on the campus. RGUKT authorities have informed his mother about the incident, and his body was shifted to the government hospital at Vempalle for postmortem.
Police have registered a case and started an investigation. Preliminary enquiries suggest that mobile phone addiction and the recent death of his father may have driven him to take the extreme step.
