ANANTAPUR: A private travels’ bus hit a person riding a scooter on the Bengaluru highway at Sirivella Metta in Nandyal district on Friday.
The bus belonging to Srihari Travels and carrying 18 passengers dragged the scooter for nearly 100 metres before stopping. The scooter rider, identified as Nagaiah, 50, died while being shifted to the Nandyal Government General Hospital.
DSP Pramod and his team rushed to the spot. They registered a case and sent Nagaiah’s body for post-mortem.
