Private Bus Rams Into Divider Near Tirupati; 34 Passengers Escape Unhurt
According to police, the bus was en route from Bengaluru to Tirupati with around 30–34 passengers on board when the mishap occurred at about 4 a.m.

Nellore: A private travel bus met with an accident near the Nendragunta flyover in Pakala mandal of Tirupati district in the early hours of Saturday.
According to police, the bus was en route from Bengaluru to Tirupati with around 30–34 passengers on board when the mishap occurred at about 4 a.m. The driver allegedly attempted to overtake a lorry ahead but ended up colliding with it from behind.
Following the impact, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the road, crossed the divider, and rammed into the bridge railing on the opposite side. The force of the collision left the front portion of the bus badly damaged.
Despite the severity of the crash, all 34 passengers miraculously escaped unhurt, though many were left shaken.
Police from Pakala rushed to the spot promptly and carried out rescue operations. The passengers were safely evacuated and shifted to a secure location, while efforts were made to clear the damaged vehicle and restore normal traffic flow on the busy Puthalapattu–Naidupeta highway.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the accident occurred during a failed overtaking attempt. Further inquiry is underway.
