Vijayawada: Municipal Administration Minister Ponguru Narayana announced that all arrangements have been completed for the relaunch of capital works in Amaravati by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 2.
A group of ministers, including Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar and Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra, reviewed the arrangements at the event venue behind the Secretariat in Velagapudi.
Narayana said the sacrifices made by Amaravati farmers for the capital were unforgettable and that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu personally invited them for the ceremony. The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in Amaravati at 3.20 pm.
Keshav stated that assembly premises and parking facilities are ready. Manohar said the arrangements have been made smoothly, while Ravindra noted that coordination with officials is ongoing.

Meanwhile, the government has invited YSRC chief and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to attend the event. Protocol officials visited his residence in Tadepalli to deliver the invitation, but he was unavailable. The invite was handed to his staff.
