Prasannakumar Alleges Cops' Biased Action In attack On His House

Speaking to the media here on Monday, he criticised the police for their failure to act impartially and urged them to uphold justice.

Nellore: Former minister and YSRC leader Nallapareddy Prasannakumar Reddy alleged that the violent attack on his residence was an attempt on his life orchestrated by MLA Prashanthi Reddy.

Speaking to the media here on Monday, he criticised the police for their failure to act impartially and urged them to uphold justice.

Prasannakumar claimed that nearly 200 armed TDP supporters stormed his house, creating havoc and leaving his family traumatised. The attack was politically motivated, aiming to silence him after he made factual statements about the MLA in response to her accusations during a press meet, he alleged.

Despite submitting CCTV footage, photographs and other substantial evidence to the police, Reddy claims that the police only registered a vague FIR, mentioning “unknown persons” instead of identifying the attackers.

YSRC leaders pointed out that the police acted quickly to register a case within two hours when MLA Prashanthi Reddy filed a complaint against him, raising serious concerns about the politicisation of law enforcement.

MLC Parvath Reddy, former ministers Anil Kumar Yadav and Anam Vijayakumar Reddy condemned the police's failure to take decisive action. “If justice isn’t served, the party will pursue a private legal battle in the court, they said. “If this is how a former minister is treated, what hope do ordinary citizens have,” Prasannakumar Reddy questioned.
