A youth hanged himself to death suspecting his girlfriend of having another affair, with another man at Pothurajugandi in Addanki.
Twentythree-year-old Darsi Subhash alias Nandu earned a livelihood as a dance master at events. Darsi, belonging to Chenchuvanipalem in Kavali mandal, Nellore district, developed familiarity with a woman of Arundalpet in Guntur, which soon blossomed into love.
The duo had been in a live-in relationship for the last four years. Both of them had been going to events and making a living. However, Darsi began doubting his girlfriend's allegiance.
On Saturday, the duo went to an event and returned home after midnight. He then came out of the house telling his girlfriend that he was going to his native place. Gaining knowledge about the suspicion Darsi had over his girlfriend, they convinced him to remain calm for some time and sent him back home.
But, Darsi consumed alcohol and hanged himself to the ceiling fan. Early on Sunday morning, his girlfriend witnessing Darsi hanging from the fan raised an alarm, following which their neighbours rushed to the house. An RMP visited the house and declared Darsi dead. A case was registered following a complaint from Darsi's father Srinivasulu.
