Tirupati police have intensified security on Tirumala ghat roads, deploying bomb detection teams and dog squads to ensure devotees’ safety during Navaratri Brahmotsavams.

Tirupati district police have intensified security on the Tirumala ghat roads and surrounding areas for the Navaratri Brahmotsavams, with bomb detection teams and dog squads conducting regular checks.

On the directions of Tirupati district superintendent of police L. Subba Rayudu, personnel are maintaining surveillance on the uphill and downhill ghat roads and at key locations around Tirumala to prevent untoward incidents during the festival.

Rayudu said bomb detection teams and dog squads were checking suspicious objects, vehicles and other important locations. Police were also keeping a close watch on vehicles travelling along the ghat roads, routes leading to Tirumala and other sensitive areas, he said.

Police personnel are coordinating security arrangements to ensure the safety of devotees visiting Tirumala for the Brahmotsavams. The SP appealed to pilgrims to follow security instructions and cooperate with personnel on duty.

He asked devotees to report suspicious objects, movements or emergencies on the ghat roads or in Tirumala immediately. Pilgrims can dial 112 for emergency police assistance. Personnel will remain on alert throughout the festival, he said.
