PM to Launch 200-cr LPG Plant in Chittoor

The plant located at Erracheruvupalli village in Puthalapattu mandal, has been established with an investment of about ?200 crore and has a capacity of 60 thousand metric tonnes per annum (TMTPA)

TIRUPATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate Indian Oil’s new LPG bottling plant in Chittoor district on Thursday from Kurnool during his visit to Andhra Pradesh. The plant, located at Erracheruvupalli village in Puthalapattu mandal, has been established with an investment of about `200 crore and has a capacity of 60 thousand metric tonnes per annum (TMTPA). It is expected to cater to over 7.2 lakh consumers through 80 distributors, covering four districts of Andhra Pradesh, two districts of Tamil Nadu, and one district of Karnataka. The facility will significantly strengthen LPG supply and distribution across the region, ensuring uninterrupted service for domestic and commercial users. The virtual inauguration will be attended by Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, Union minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri and Chittoor MP Daggumalla Prasada Rao at Kurnool. Chittoor collector Sumit Kumar and other senior officials will take part in the event from Chittoor.
