CM Naidu thanks Modi, affirms AP’s united efforts for Yoga Day

Vijayawada: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded Andhra Pradesh for its launch of the YogAndhra Abhiyan to develop a robust yoga culture in the state.

With less than a month remaining for the 11th International Day of Yoga, the PM while speaking in the 122nd episode of Mann Ki Baat, has extended an inspiring appeal to the citizens across the globe to embrace yoga for holistic well-being and a vibrant living.

Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, responding to Modi’s mention of YogAndhra in the speech, thanked the PM and affirmed that the people of AP have united for this cause.

The PM observed that enthusiasm for Yoga Day continues to surge both within the country and internationally. He Modi lauded the efforts of Andhra Pradesh, where the YogAndhra Abhiyan aspires to build a pool of 10 lakh regular yoga practitioners, exemplifying how states can lead from the front in the wellness revolution.

Responding to the PM, Naidu stated on his social media page, “Thank you, PM for mentioning Yogandhra 2025 in Mann Ki Baat today. The people of AP have united for this cause. We are organising month-long yoga sessions across the state, including at 100 tourist destinations, along with several other exciting initiatives leading up to June 21.”

“Through this, we aim to make Yoga an integral part of our daily lives. We look forward to welcoming you to Visakhapatnam on June 21 to mark the grand culmination and celebrate International Yoga Day together," Naidu said.
