Anantapur: Penna Cements managing director Prathap Reddy presented three diamond-studded golden crowns worth ₹6.60 crore to the Lord Kodandarama Swamy temple at Vontimitta in Kadapa district on Friday.

Weighing a total of 7 kg, the crowns were offered as part of the ongoing Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavalu and Kalyanotsavam celebrations. Accompanied by his family, Reddy had darshan of the presiding deity and performed special pujas before handing over the crowns to TTD chairman B.R. Naidu and executive officer Syamala Rao.

The priests later adorned the deities—Lord Kodandarama, Goddess Sita, and Lakshmana—with the magnificent crowns. The TTD authorities felicitated Prathap Reddy and his family by offering prasadam and seshavastram. The gesture was hailed as a significant devotional contribution to the temple’s festivities.
