Pemmasani Seeks Intervention of Centre to Resolve Vehicular Traffic Congestion at West Bypass Road

Vijayawada: Union minister of state for rural development Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar has sought the Centre’s intervention to address vehicular congestion on the West Bypass Road.

Pemmasani met Union minister for road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari at his residence in New Delhi on Monday and submitted a representation seeking action on the issue.

Chandra Sekhar explained that the stretch near the West Bypass Road built close to the Kaza toll gate connecting the Guntur–Vijayawada national highway was witnessing severe traffic congestion and recent road accidents.

He informed Gadkari that the absence of a grade-separated interchange at China Kakani Junction on NH-16 along the Vijayawada West Bypass was leading to vehicular congestion and urged the Centre to initiate necessary measures to resolve the problem.

Gadkari assured that the issue would be examined.
